*Note: APF (980/1000) is the appropriate optical fiber cable as recommended by TOSHIBA
We manufacture our cables with the industry's best APF (all plastic fiber) optical data fiber, *APF (980/1000)
TC-1000.pdf. The attenuation (optical loss) is less than 0.15dB/m (this allows our cables to perform at much
longer lengths than the competition). We also apply a 1µm optical finish on each end of our fiber which insures
maximum performance. The end connector on our cables is a precision machined metal sleeve that perfectly aligns
and supports the plastic optical fiber. The bandwidth at 50 meters is = 40MHz!!!!!!!!!!!
BANDWIDTH: To calculate your bandwidth needs for your audio connection use the following formula:
Sampling Rate (usually 44.1KHz or 96KHz) x Resolution (8 bit, 16 bit or 24 bit) x Channels ( 1 or 2 ) = BANDWIDTH
Example > 96,000 x 24 x 2 = 4,608,000 or 4.6MHz
YES we have read that some can hear the difference between different optical cables and we agree this is possible.
But it is only possible if the optical fiber that is used is extremely poor. The facts are: for most audio
systems, you should not hear any difference between a plastic optical cable and a glass quartz optical cable
unless your are at lengths exceeding 100 feet and transmitting at extreme bandwidth levels.
GLASS vs. PLASTIC fiber optic cables: We have been manufacturing fiber optical cables for 35 years and 95% of
these cables have been glass. So why are we now manufacturing our Audio Digital Optical Cables using plastic?
TECHNOLOGY!!!!!!! The improvements in the optical purity of POF (plastic optical fibers) and the increased
performance of the Opto-electrical Components has allowed us to use POF in our cables. Do we give up any
performance? NO! In fact, the performance has improved, because the Opto-electrical Components (used in Audio
Equipment) are designed to interface with POF fibers. This Technology improvement has allowed us to manufacture
cables for our customers at much lower cost than ever before.
COULD WE OFFER A BETTER CABLE? We could provide a fatter cable jacket, a shiny connector shell, or a fancy
package, but after you throw away the packaging and hide your cable behind the sofa it's the Audio Performance
that matters!
PLEASE NOTE:
IF YOU ARE PURCHASING TOSLINK CABLES WITH GOLD-PLATED CONNECTORS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE SUPPLIER SAYS THAT THEY PERFORM BETTER,
YOU ARE BEING MISLED AND YOU ARE PAYING TOO MUCH. THESE ARE OPTICAL DATA LINKS and GOOD ELECTRICAL CONNECTION IS
NOT REQUIRED; THERE IS NO ELECTRICAL CONNECTION!

I received the cable today and am sitting here listening to fantastic digital
quality music from my PC being played over my Pioneer stereo receiver. The
receiver says that I'm connected at a digital sampling rate of 96KHZ. You not
only have a customer for life for these types of products but also a very good
reference. If it helps you with future questions or concerns like mine my exact equipment specs
are: Sound Blaster Audigy Drive Optical SPDIF Out to Pioneer VSX-D811S Optical In via the
cable I just received from you. THANK YOU! Mike :)
I want to tell you how pleased I am with my new cable.
I purchased a Toslink cable from you in excess of 50
feet. I am using it to connect my computer's sound
card to my stereo receiver. It sounds great! I didn't
need to use an optical amplifier. No one else sells
cables this long. Thanks for your help!
Ken
I just received it (10 meter Premium Toslink Cable)! Your company has great
selections, great prices, extremely fast shipping, and wonderful Customer Service. I
hope you prosper and remain in business forever!! SID M
Good Morning; Just wanted to let you know that your cable is reproducing my music library brilliantly!
I’ve always suspected that the music quality was higher than my current mechanism to reproduce it;
but the TOSLink connection exceeded my expectations.
The industry standard myth that a 9 meter fiber-optic cable needs amplification has been shattered.
The new mystery is why does everybody else charge 4 times as much for a 6 foot cable?
I will be highly recommending your product wherever I can, Thanks!
Mike
